About this site

Snowline Rising is a reflective journal launched in October 2025 as part of my studies in Global Environment & Sustainability with the University of London. It offers a space to connect academic learning with lived experience, observing and questioning environmental change through both scientific and personal lenses.

The title refers to one of the most visible signs of climate change: the rising snowline. It's both a measurable reality and a metaphor for shifting thresholds, ecological, cultural, and internal. As the ice retreats, new patterns emerge, which reminds us how adaptation and loss are often intertwined.

This journal also relates to my broader work with Fjordwaves, an independent initiative exploring the meeting point of ecology, story, and community. The reflections I share here may inform future Fjordwaves projects, from field-based learning and conservation storytelling to exploring how we can live more responsibly within Earth’s systems.

My hope is that Snowline Rising becomes a small record of curiosity and care, and a place to listen, learn, and trace the evolving patterns of resilience in both nature and ourselves.
